Munnar Catering College is established by the Thachankary Foundation, a trust registered in the state of Kerala with a vision of giving a new dimension to the hospitality education, which no one has ever experienced. It is with immense pleasure I am welcoming you to a very happy and rewarding new academic year. Doors of the hospitality industry are more wide open than ever before. The employment concept has undergone tremendous changes and the role of the industry in accelerating the economic development of a country is widely recognized. In the human resources scenario, young and talented professionals with strategic specialization is the need of the day. It is in view of this that The Munnar Catering College was established by the Thachankary Foundation a trust governed by Indian Trust Act 1882. The college is the first self financing Catering College of Kerala approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India and Directorate of Technical Education Government of Kerala. While keeping the traditional value and culture of the country, Munnar Catering College is preparing itself to meet the future challenges by forging ahead with a better understanding and determination as proclaimed in the watch words of the college & quot Determination and Hardwork ".
